Toy Story ∙ Eleven Years In The Making

I have waited almost 70% of my life for this.

It.

Was awesome.

I feel like I redefined the term "L-OOSAH!" for all mankind.

I went.

With my mother.

& my old Jesse doll.

The only other kid in the place with a Toy Story doll:

Two years old.

Complete with pacifier.

Yep.

I thought this would be histarical and insanely legit.

Nope.

I felt like a buffoon.

To top it all off:

I bawled.

Little kids canNOT fully appreciate this movie, okay? I was literally FOUR when the second one came out. I have an ORIGINAL Jesse doll from Disneyland. FOR. SURE.

Also; the plot was a liiiittle over some childrens' heads. I felt like Andy in the movie, 'cause he's all off goin' to college and getting rid of his toys and whatnot, and he almost cries because he's gotta get rid of them. This I can relate to! Okay, I'm a girl, so I got a little bit more attached to my favorite dress than I did some of my toys, but still. I get where he's coming from.

As I was watching this, it occured to me that this series was probably why I was a psyco when I was little.

When I was a youngster, I thought that toys really did talk, and have feelings, and would get up and walk around when you were gone. No, I did. I reeeeaaaally truely thought that if I lost something, it was because I wasn't being nice to my toys and they hid it from me.

This led to numerous nightmares about my beanie babies (Scooter, the cute brown puppy dog, in particular) trying to kill me.

The sad part is, I didn't realize the connection until now.

Here I am, almost 16, and I just figured out the root of my childhood insanity. Weird.
NOT the point.

Okay, so it was a great movie, and I loved it a lot, and it didn't even have to be in 3D to be awesome because it already was.

Side note: I wish I could find a guy like El Buzzo.

El Fin.

Beauty 101

"Beauty is self-confidence applied directly to the face."

It's a way of thinking.

It's a way of acting.

It's basically just believing in yourself.

Is it vain to have a day when you really like what you look like?

What if I like the way that I look when I look like crap?

Maybe I look the best on my crap days because I'm more confident in what I'm wearing.

Give me a pair of shorts, cutoff T, hair up, little eyeliner, old adidas sandals, I'm feeling good. Showing off the tan lines, nicely toned muscles; wonky me.

The key is accepting who you are.

Yeah, yeah, totally cliche. But it's the truth. Check it out:

Yeah, there's things about me that aren't ideal. Bushy eyebrows, frizzy humidity prone hair, extremely muscular calves & arms, thunder thighs, minor gut, slight acne, wonky toes, A; the norm.

But any of those things can be good things.
Bushy eyebrows; more to work with. Dark enough so my eyes really pop.
Frizzy humidity prone hair; helps me discover new hairstyles, tips & tricks for handling it.
Extremely muscular calves & arms; farm work requires it...and it comes in handy while intimidating mean people. ;)
Thunder thighs; fat people are harder to kidnap. :)
Minor gut; that pesky region keeps me working hard, and to stay in shape.
Slight acne; it happens. You learn, you deal.
Wonky toes; I can wear pointier toed shoes than most people can!
A; at least they don't get in the way!

And then there's everything you like about yourself.

Pretty, big, chameleon, dark eyes. My cheeks. Jawline. Long giraffe neck. Bubbly, strong shoulders. Little waist. The way I look in structured shirts. Badonkadonk. Linebacker calves (it's a love/hate relationship). My back. My ankles. The freckles on my nose. My eyelashes. The shape of my lips. The versatility of my hair. The color of my skin (I'm not being racist, I just like the color I am at the moment. Like on a scale of pasty to dark I'm on a good shade. :)).

Live for yourself.

Strive for yourself.

If you don't like it...

Suck it up, & deal.

C'est la vie. C'est la guerre. C'est la pomme de terre.

Toodles,
